Trail riding is now open on a limited basis
AHF continues to support our programming by offering trail riding in the Greater Rochester, NY area.
We begin each ride with a horse-to-rider pairing and a short lesson in one of the riding rings. We then head out on the trails for a fully guided trail ride. Our 45 minute ride is $50/person.
We accommodate riders aged 10+. Single riders may either be paired with another group or be taken out on a solo ride. We do accommodate large groups as well. Total riding time may be over an hour, so please come on-time (arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment), as there may be a ride directly after your scheduled ride (minimum 24 hr advance notice).
Answers to FAQs:
- Groups are limited to a maximum of 6 riders at this time.

- For the safety of our horses and riders, all rides are at a walk.
- Please let us know if English is a second language (or if there are any challenges you may have with riding). It can help us make your ride more enjoyable if we know ahead of time.
- If a rider cannot ride independently for any reason and requires a lead on foot, there will be an additional $20 per rider in need of this service.
- NEW: We require you to confirm your ride 2 hours in advance via phone.
