Summer Funding

A Horse’s Friend is the recipient of two grants.

Greater Rochester After School & Summer Alliance (GRASA)

The Greater Rochester After School & Summer Alliance (GRASA) funds 30 city children and youth for a four-week program. This is AHF’s second year in the program.

Eastman Savings and Loan grant

The Eastman Savings and Loan grant supports 12 youth from Livingston county to participate in Summer camp for 8 weeks in the afternoon.

Thank you to Sarabeth Sowinski, our grant writer.

Keeping our Promise

Keeping our Promise provides a one-week camp for Afghan children in August.

This outside funding provides opportunities for minority and underserved populations.  It gives children and youth a chance to spend time on the farm, learn how to care for horses and ride, make new friends and experience personal growth.

Note:  Summer camps  have open enrollment and registration through area recreation departments – Rush, Pittsford, Henrietta and Honeoye Falls
